LiveJournal.com
Submitted by jim on Sun, 2006-10-15 01:19.LiveJournal.com is a popular blog site that tries to build communities through designated friends and friends-of-friends. A relatively new feature is the ability to specify your schools and find other alumni from your school.

Classmates.com
Submitted by jim on Sun, 2006-10-15 01:09.Classmates.com is a site dedicated to helping classmates find each other. Or maybe they're dedicated to making money. I think it's the latter. You can register for free, but it seems like if you actually want to contact anyone in your class you have to pay. I'm not a big fan of paying for stuff like that, so I ignore the periodic emails that someone in my class wants to speak to me.
If you have a Classmates login, this link should take you to RHS's page there.
EDIT: I logged on to Classmates.com again. That place really gets on my nerves with all the ads. I posted a "bio" (blog, apparently) item, and it only shows the first few words and requires others to buy a subscription to read the rest. Sheesh! Admittedly they seem to have far and away the most registered alumni for our class.
We're Old
Submitted by jim on Sun, 2006-10-15 00:49.I suppose our 20-year reunion is due in 2008, just a couple of years away. I made a web page for the 10-year reunion. I lost the account and lost the backup copies, but I recently rediscovered the site on the internet archive.
The internet has changed a lot in the past eight years, and now there are several classmate/reunion resources as well as many social sites. So I'm not pretending to make the only or best reunion site for our class, but I want to collect links to all the resources we can find and allow yet another blog, forum and photo gallery for people to congregate, chat and share photos if you so desire.
