I recently signed up at Facebook and have been found by several of our class. It looks like a whole bunch of us are there. So far I like Facebook better than MySpace.

Other schools and classes will want to check it out for finding classmates, too.

Hurricane Ike has changed my weekend plans, so I might show up for one or two of the events after all.

I was divided on whether or not to go, but something else came up on the same weekend, so I'm not planning to be at the reunion. In case anyone was wondering.

There are two happenings in September: The aforementioned 20-year Class of 1988 reunion on the 12th - 14th, and apparently someone on Classmates is organizing a "mega reunion" for all classes on September 18-19 due to the old school building being torn down. I don't know much about this mega reunion yet as I can't seem to get much info from Classmates. I'm wondering if you have to buy a Classmates subscription to read the whole thing.

I got my mailing from Reunions by The Party People. It has the same information available at the site plus the tidbit that Larry Wisinger is the head of the reunion committee.

The events are September 12th - 14th. Tickets are $70 by August 26, $75 by September 3rd or $80 at the door. Couples tickets are...exactly twice as much as single tickets.

Everything except the new addition built after our graduation and the auditorium is being demolished this year, and a bunch of new stuff is being built instead. Totally different layout.

Reunions by the Party People has "Richland 1988" in their list of reunions, and it links to a generic info page saying they are under contract to do our reunion and will give more details later. Some anecdotal chatter on MySpace forums suggests that the reunion may be in September near The Ballpark in Arlington. However I think 10 years ago it was in early June, and Class of 1987 had theirs in June last year, so check back here, on MySpace or the Party People site sooner rather than later. Also, you can update your profile on the Party People site so they can contact you when plans are set.

Please don't try to download all the photos at once. It looks like somebody set up a script to grab all the photos as fast as they would download, but the way I'm set up I have a very limited number of concurrent connections available and simultaneous photo downloading kills my server.

I don't mind someone grabbing them, just do it one at a time, please.

Football season is starting, so I thought I'd check out when the homecoming game is. It appears to be Friday, October 12, 2007 7:30pm at the Fine Arts/Athletic Center (the big new stadium). The opponent is Northwest.

By the way, non-district play started Friday. Richland beat The Colony 26-7.

I didn't try too hard, but I couldn't find info on other homecoming activities. I have no idea if I'll bother to go. I'm not even convinced I'll go to the reunion next year. I just like making web pages, especially those run from databases.

Although I have no official notice, I am now operating under the assumption that Reunions by the Party People will be handling our 20-year reunion. They handled our 10-year reunion and the Class of 1987 20-year reunion, so it looks like a done deal to me.

You can update your address with them including an alternate contact in case you move. If you do it now they can find you next year.
